GRAHAM BUDGETT: A BRIEF US HISTORY

Pre-digital, in-camera, photo-textual montages, 1985

No Choice - Abort.

'NO CHOICE ABORT' reads like a command to abandon a failed mission; indeed, if the anti-abortion lobbyists have their way, it will signal victory over the pro-choice lobby, and a return to the backstreets of U.S. cities for the 'covert operation' [a term reclaimed from other 'freedom-fighters'].

A 'no choice' abortion is the sort that will take place after abortion has been made illegal; the same sort that happened before it was legal. 'No choice' in this case doesn't mean no alternative. Those without choice in an uncaring society will go underground; infants and mothers will suffer and die.

'Pro-lifers' should be polled about their views on the death-penalty.
